  1. Bless her heart!!! This is really pulling at my heartstrings!!! She is trying soooooo hard and just cannot make it happen!!!

Has the Vet checked her back, hips and spine really, really thoroughly??? Even her pelvis??

Also, she may not have a lot of strength in her front legs to help pull herself up. I’m sure the vets have checked her “front end”for sprains, fractures, pulled neck muscles, etc.

    Just throwing everything out there!

In tne previous post you mentioned infection. Was that the surgery site itself or something else? Is she now on an antibiotic?

We’re cheering for you Emma Grace!!! You are a fiesty gal…And cute too

    Hugs!!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Can’t tell kf the crying is pain or frustration or both.

Thank goodness she’s small enough you can lift her.

  2. Jerry posted a nice way of supporting them with a cut-up canvas shopping bag to help them stand up. You might want to try this so she can can start building up muscles.
“As she gets used to getting up to walk around or go potty, try wrapping a bath towel under her belly to hoist her rear end and give her a little support. Or, you can cut up canvas grocery bag, and it wrap around your dog’s chest as a sling. Many dogs will only need this kind of assistance for the first few days.”

  3. Hi – I can see her frustration, poor little lamb. A front leg tripod does have to adjust to using the back legs more to propel them up to a stand. I really do wonder if with the accident, she just has more muscle strain in the back legs (like a groin pull) than we know. Or if she is just more used to using front legs to pull herself up and hasn’t figured out how to adjust.

  4. Aww, Gracie, it’s still early. Don’t give up, you will be getting up and running around in no time!!

Sending you love and hopes for a speedy recovery!
